Our client, a leading UK-based organisation at the forefront of battery innovation, is currently seeking a skilled and hands-on Project Manager to join their team. Operating in a fast-paced, high-tech environment, the successful candidate will deliver complex projects that push the boundaries of research and development, with a strong focus on timely, high-quality outcomes.

The Project Manager will:

  • Lead and manage complex multi-year R&D projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, providing clear communication and steering projects at all levels.
  • Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, including risk management and mitigation.
  • Create detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and manage internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Support pre-contract planning with high-level work breakdowns and alignment of project milestones.
  • Monitor budgets, forecast needs, and support senior-level reporting and presentations.

The Project Manager will have:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a technical discipline; experience in battery or related engineering fields preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple project teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Engineering and Project Management qualifications expected; APM qualification preferred.
