We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join a dynamic team dedicated to new product development and industrialisation of advanced battery technology. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, this role will play a critical part in managing the technical aspects of the pilot plant’s building and support equipment, ensuring design integrity, service capacity, and process reliability.
The Plant Engineer will:
- Maintain design integrity of building infrastructure and process technical services.
- Manage layout and capacity planning for site infrastructure and process equipment.
- Analyse equipment requirements and assist with procurement and vendor liaison.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of plant operations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, and recommend procedural improvements.
The Plant Engineer will have:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Significant experience in plant engineering or similar technical role.
- Practical experience in factory/site commissioning and plant services (DI water, compressed air, coolant systems).
- Strong problem-solving and technical report writing skills.
- Working knowledge of PLM systems (Windchill preferred) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, CREO).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
