Supporting manufacturing operations through effective material control and stock management, the Stores Manager will take ownership of stores activity across site while driving consistency, accuracy and continuous improvement. This role combines leadership and hands-on delivery, managing day-to-day stores operations while developing processes, supporting production requirements and ensuring robust inventory control across multiple locations.
The Stores Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of stores activities across site.
- Managing and developing a team of Stores personnel.
- Ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issuing and control of materials and components.
- Maintaining stock accuracy through ERP systems, cycle counts and stock audits.
- Supporting production by ensuring materials are available in line with works orders and schedules.
- Driving improvements in stores processes, efficiency and organisation.
The Stores Manager will have:
- Experience in a Stores Manager or similar senior role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process flow, works orders and production cycles.
- Experience working within structured manufacturing organisations with established stores processes.
- Proven experience managing or supervising a stores team.
- Solid understanding of inventory control and materials management.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems for stock management.
