An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Technician to join a forward-thinking technology business developing advanced electronic systems for high-performance applications. This is a hands-on role within an R&D and production environment, focused on the testing, inspection, validation and improvement of sophisticated electronic assemblies.

The Responsibilities Will be:

  • Carrying out testing, inspection and rework of PCB and electronic assemblies to ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Testing assembled PCBs by applying power, taking measurements and accurately recording results using internal systems and software tools.
  • Conducting visual inspections of electronic assemblies and communicating defects or issues to relevant teams.
  • Supporting optical inspection and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) activities.
  • Assisting with the integration, testing and validation of electronics into final products.
  • Identifying faults and supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Maintaining accurate production, inspection and testing records using ERP and internal systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across electronics development and production processes.

The Person Will have:

  • Previous experience as an electronics technician or electronics engineering role.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental electronic principles, including voltage, current, resistance, capacitance and inductance.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and insulation or electrical test equipment.
  • Strong PCB assembly and hand soldering skills, including fine-pitch component work.
  • The ability to read and understand electronic schematic diagrams.
  • A collaborative approach with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • A qualification in Electronics or a related discipline (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience within advanced engineering, high-performance manufacturing or technical product development environments.
