A leading automotive manufacturing company that specializes in producing high performance vehicles is currently hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing mechanical components and systems for limited-production electric hyper cars, working on everything from concept to production.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will:
- Create and refine high-performance mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
- Perform mechanical stress assessments and FEA simulations to verify design integrity.
- Work closely with teams across aerodynamics, electronics, and manufacturing to achieve cohesive integration.
- Contribute to prototype assembly and provide support during on-track testing and performance validation.
- Document engineering processes and assist with scaling from prototype phase to limited-volume production.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will have:
- Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering at Bachelor's or Master's level.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in high-performance vehicle, motorsport, or aerospace engineering.
- Skilled in using CAD and FEA software for design and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of lightweight structural design and advanced materials like composites and titanium.
- Mechanical design through entire lifecycle - design, prototyping, testing, supporting with assembly - including DFM.
