Our client, a manufacturer of electric cars whose mission is to bring real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars is currently looking for a Technical Buyer to join their team!

The successful candidate will purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

The Technical Buyer will:

  • Source goods and services including HV electrical systems and EV batteries.
  • Balance cost, quality, and delivery efficiency.
  • Communicate delays and deviations clearly.
  • Manage supplier performance and build strong relationships.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
  • Deputise for the Head of Supply Chain when needed.

The Technical Buyer will have:

  • Strong technical understanding and ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience purchasing in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with low-volume, high-performance manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • MCIPS qualified (or working towards), with 2-5 years in technical purchasing.
  • Experience in precision engineering and ERP systems.
  • Proven track record in sourcing HV system parts.
