Please note: The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the Somerset manufacturing facility for one full working week each month.

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal support across commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and strategic project activities.

Working closely with stakeholders throughout the organisation, you will help navigate complex legal matters, manage risk and deliver practical, commercially focused advice that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term business objectives.

The Senior Legal Counsel will

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including construction, EPC, procurement and supplier agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory and commercial matters.
  • Identify legal risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support licensing, planning and real estate activities.
  • Advise on employment-related matters and contractual issues.
  • Assist with claims, disputes and litigation where required.
  • Maintain robust legal documentation and compliance processes. The Senior Legal Counsel will have:
  • Qualified Solicitor status with a valid practising certificate.
  • 8-12 years' experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal matters.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience advising stakeholders on legal and commercial risk.
  • Ability to manage legal transactions independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and commercial awareness.
