The Resident Engineer - Product Engineer will play a key role in the development of customer products, supporting projects from initial concept through to validation, launch and mass production.

Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will act as the technical focal point for product development, ensuring technical requirements, quality standards and programme objectives are successfully delivered.

The Resident Engineer - Product Engineer will be responsible for: Supporting product development from initial concept, quotation and prototyping through to production release.

Managing technical requirements and risk throughout the product development lifecycle.

Ensuring customer specifications, cost targets, manufacturing requirements and project timelines are achieved.

Acting as the technical interface between customers and internal functions including design, manufacturing and industrialisation.

Coordinating product testing activities, analysing results and implementing corrective actions where required.

Supporting product launches and working with programme teams to resolve technical issues and deliver successful outcomes.

The Resident Engineer - Product Engineer will have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.

Experience within automotive engineering, ideally involving complex mechatronic systems.

Knowledge of product development processes from concept to production.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Business-level English language skills.

Willingness to travel regularly for customer and project requirements.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working closely with customers, leading technical activities and supporting products throughout the entire development lifecycle.
