Our client, a manufacturer of high-quality, high performance and sustainable batteries is currently hiring a Logistic Automation Engineer – Level 5. The successful candidate will help shape global logistics strategy and lead the design and implementation of a world-class automated operation using AGVs and ASRS. The Logistic Automation Engineer will: Lead the end-to-end delivery of ASRS solutions across the UK plant, including specification, design, installation and testing. Manage logistics automation suppliers to deliver projects on time and in line with business needs. Evaluate RFQs and support supplier selection and nomination processes. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure site and building readiness for automation projects Contribute to the development of the logistics strategy for future project phases. The Logistic Automation Engineer will have: Experience with ASRS Warehouse Control Systems and the interface with upper-level systems e.g. Delivered logistics projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the on-time delivery of planned outcomes Strong knowledge of logistics processes, tools and techniques. Demonstrable ability to build relationships and work with cross functional teams. Experience with the design, optimisation, installation and commissioning of ASRS systems ideally within the battery or similar industries.
