Working as part of a wider engineering team, the Lithium Applications Engineer will support the integration and delivery of battery systems, ensuring technical requirements are met from initial concept through to deployment. This role will act as a technical interface between internal teams and customers, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and solutions are delivered efficiently. It combines customer‑facing support, technical problem solving, and hands‑on involvement in applications across industrial and automotive environments.

The Lithium Applications Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting customer projects by capturing and translating technical requirements across all stages of application delivery
  • Acting as a key technical interface between customers, sales teams and internal engineering functions
  • Providing technical support, resolving issues and responding to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate specifications, application details and Bills of Materials
  • Supporting on‑site installations, commissioning activities and follow‑up visits where required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through feedback, data collection and collaboration with product development teams

The Lithium Applications Engineer will have:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • At least 3 years' experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems engineering
  • Strong understanding of lithium‑ion battery technologies and Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN or RS485
  • Proven ability to work in customer‑facing technical roles within industrial or automotive environments
  • Hands‑on experience in testing, troubleshooting or supporting electrical systems
