A producer of cutting-edge integrated electric motor and power electronics modules is currently looking to hire a Line Quality Inspector. The successful candidate will ensure that all components, assemblies, and finished products meet exact quality standards before being delivered to the customers.
The Line Quality Inspector will:
- Interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and process instructions to ensure inspection criteria are met.
- Ensure that non-conforming materials are contained, segregated and managed in line with internal quality procedures.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on electro-mechanical assemblies and components to verify conformance to specifications & drawings.
- Collaborate with quality engineers and production teams to resolve quality issues in a timely and constructive manner.
- Maintain accurate and thorough inspection records and ensure traceability of materials and processes.
The Line Quality Inspector will have:
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality inspection or quality control role within automotive, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
- Vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical inspection or manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
- Experience & understanding of reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and inspection plans.
- Proficiency with the use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, CMM (desirable), and gauges.
