Our client, an iconic motorcycle manufacturer based in the UK, is currently looking to hire a Junior Buyer Accessories.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Purchase accessories (off the bike), merchandise, and apparel in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  2. Process purchase requisitions (as per the agreed guidelines) and release purchase orders to suppliers.
  3. Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring good communication and a professional approach.
  4. Engage early with suppliers, prepare, and communicate RFQs.
  5. Negotiate supplier quotes for the release of POs.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Experience in merchandise/accessories buying is desirable within a retail or merchandise buying environment.
  2. Confidence in building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
  4. Knowledge and experience of using SAP is desirable.
  5. Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
