Our client, an iconic motorcycle manufacturer based in the UK, is currently looking to hire a Junior Buyer Accessories.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase accessories (off the bike), merchandise, and apparel in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Process purchase requisitions (as per the agreed guidelines) and release purchase orders to suppliers.
- Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring good communication and a professional approach.
- Engage early with suppliers, prepare, and communicate RFQs.
- Negotiate supplier quotes for the release of POs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in merchandise/accessories buying is desirable within a retail or merchandise buying environment.
- Confidence in building strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
- Knowledge and experience of using SAP is desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
