We're looking for a hands-on and commercially minded Finance Controller to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations while supporting the Finance Director across planning, reporting, and investment readiness.
The Finance Controller will:
- Own and manage the company's day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining accurate records in Xero and overseeing payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain full visibility of the company's cashflow position, producing short- and medium-term forecasts to support informed financial decisions.
- Prepare month-end management information and reporting packs, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and smooth month-end close processes.
- Coordinate payroll with external providers, managing monthly payroll inputs, approvals, and staff expense reimbursements.
- Oversee HR and people administration, including contracts, onboarding, personnel records, and compliance with employment policies.
Experience Required:
- Experience working within Manufacturing or Engineering organisations (ESSENTIAL).
- Experience working within a Start-up or Scale-up environment, which includes implementing and building scalable financial controls (ESSENTIAL).
- Strong working knowledge of core accounting processes.
- Solid understanding of payables, receivables, and credit control, with the ability to manage them independently.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
