We’re working with a fast-growing, innovation-driven company looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Procurement. The successful candidate will be building and scaling the procurement function across raw materials, components, capital equipment, and outsourced services — all in support of a business transitioning from R&D into full production. The Head of Procurement will: * Develop and lead the end-to-end procurement strategy across key spend categories. * Source and manage suppliers for components, raw materials, and capital assets. * Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align supply with demand. * Build category strategies balancing cost, quality, and risk. * Oversee capital equipment procurement, contracts, and infrastructure tenders. * Ensure commercial, regulatory, and ethical compliance. The Head of Procurement will have: * Senior-level procurement experience in engineering or manufacturing (defence, automotive, medical, etc.) * Track record in supplier development, negotiations, and capital equipment buying. * Experience managing global supply chains, including suppliers in Asia. * Strong commercial skills: budgeting, cost modelling, and contract management. * Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and process optimisation. * MCIPS qualified or working towards certification.
