Working within a cutting-edge R&D environment, the Test Engineer will play a central role in validating advanced hardware systems across challenging operating conditions. This role focuses on designing and executing test programmes across a diverse hardware stack, supporting the development of robust, high-performance systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure products meet rigorous reliability, safety and environmental standards.
The Test Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing and operating bespoke test setups for a range of hardware systems.
- Executing structural, thermal, vibration and fatigue testing aligned to internal and industry standards.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment such as environmental chambers, vibration tables and data acquisition systems.
- Analysing test data and translating results into clear design improvements and recommendations.
- Supporting the development and setup of internal testing facilities and infrastructure.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to support rapid development and iteration cycles.
The Test Engineer will have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in prototyping, testing or laboratory environments.
- Experience designing and executing hardware test systems and validation programmes.
- Familiarity with relevant testing standards (e.g. MIL STD, IP/IK, CE, UL).
- Strong understanding of environmental and structural testing methodologies.
- The ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
