Our client, a leading specialist in the design, build, financing, and operation of EV solar car parks is currently looking to hire an Engineering Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing the installations of our proprietary Smart, Solar EV Charging Hub, whilst delivering best in class service.

The Engineering Project Manager will:

  • Assess customer sites for suitability and risks, designing project layouts and service plans to deliver optimal benefits at the lowest practical installation costs.
  • Plan and schedule the nationwide deployment of the pop-up solar car park, ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors, manage project budgets, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize overall project expenditure.
  • Mitigate project risks by ensuring compliance with RAMS and other relevant safety documentation, maintaining high safety standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, maximizing value and efficiency while ensuring projects meet required quality and timeline expectations.

The Engineering Project Manager will have:

  • Strong understanding of risk reduction, contracts, budgeting, and cost control to drive efficient project execution.
  • Ability to build trust, engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels, and act as an advocate to ensure project success.
  • Experience in site planning, civil, mechanical, and electrical systems, including commercial three-phase electrical installations and RAMS development.
  • Ability to challenge colleagues, managing subcontractors/suppliers, and working cross-functionally to deliver results.
  • Highly structured, commercially aware, and deadline-driven, with the ability to oversee complex installations and deliver projects efficiently.
  • Experience with Office 365, Jira, and other relevant project management tools to streamline workflows and ensure smooth execution.
