The Senior Engineer will lead engineering project delivery and support new product introduction, ensuring efficient execution, strong team performance and alignment with customer expectations. The role involves coordinating engineering activities, managing technical challenges and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, to cost and to the required quality standards.
The Senior Engineer will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting engineering teams to deliver projects in line with customer requirements and APQP gateways.
- Mentoring engineers to resolve technical challenges and remove delivery risks.
- Planning and allocating engineering activities alongside the Engineering Manager.
- Acting as a key escalation point for engineering issues and stakeholder management.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams to support product development and project progression.
- Tracking and reporting project status to ensure delivery to quality, cost and timing targets.
The Senior Engineer will have:
- A recognised engineering qualification with experience leading or managing engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949).
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment.
- Experience managing project timelines using tools such as MS Project or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, change management and process control.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
