We're seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Quality Engineer to support all aspects of the Quality function across manufacturing operations. This role will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, covering both current production and new project introduction.
The Quality Engineer will:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support welding compliance activities and work alongside the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC).
- Develop and maintain key quality documentation, including Certificates of Conformity and control plans.
- Lead quality investigations using structured problem‑solving tools such as the 8D process.
- Deliver quality support for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing production to enhance performance and reliability.
The Quality Engineer will have:
- Background in quality engineering within manufacturing (automotive or non‑automotive).
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and core tools such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding processes, with experience in welding operations.
- Familiarity with quality standards including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Additional knowledge of EN1090 or ISO 3834 is advantageous; HNC or equivalent experience welcomed.
