We are seeking a Senior Engineer - HMI to take ownership of the next generation of Human Machine Interface systems for future motorcycle platforms. This is a hands-on, technically focused role responsible for defining and delivering HMI software and hardware requirements in line with industry standards for safety, security and diagnostics. You will play a key role in bringing innovative and engaging rider experiences to life, contributing directly to cutting-edge vehicle programmes.
The Senior Engineer - HMI will:
- Design and develop HMI systems including infotainment, instrument clusters and rider assistance features.
- Define HMI architecture, system requirements and interface specifications.
- Translate user needs into functional interfaces in collaboration with UX/UI designers and software teams.
- Support feature validation planning and hardware/software verification activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262) and usability guidelines.
- Support the wider electrical function in developing module-level functional specifications.
The Senior Engineer - HMI will have:
- Proven experience within HMI system development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for assembly.
- Experience with dSPACE HIL toolchain.
- Advanced working knowledge of Vector tools including CANalyzer, CANoe and CANape.
- Understanding of automotive safety standards, including ISO 26262.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
