The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials, components, tooling, and subcontract manufacturing services to support operational and commercial objectives.

The role requires strong supplier management, commercial awareness, and the ability to work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Buyer will

Source and procure raw materials, machined components, tooling, and manufacturing services.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and supplier agreements.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Monitor supplier performance relating to cost, quality, and delivery.

Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Work closely with engineering teams on new product introduction and supplier selection activities.

Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.

The Buyer will have

Previous purchasing or procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering.

Understanding of technical drawings, engineering components, and manufacturing processes.

Experience sourcing machined components, precision-engineered parts, or production materials would be advantageous.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Experience using ERP systems and procurement tools.

Commercially focused with strong analytical capabilities.
