Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a well‑established and expanding rural law firm. This permanent Private Client Solicitor job offers the opportunity to work with a varied and high‑quality private client caseload whilst enjoying an excellent work‑life balance. The position is available on a full‑time basis, although part‑time hours will be considered for the right candidate. Based in either Settle, North Yorkshire or Grassington, North Yorkshire, the successful Private Client Solicitor will benefit from a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience, limited hybrid working and remote working flexibility, 36 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, an extended Christmas shutdown, workplace pension and a supportive, collaborative working environment. Working hours are 8:45am – 5:00pm with a 45‑minute lunch break.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing a broad private client caseload
- Advising clients on Wills and estate planning
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Administering estates and probate matters
- Advising on trusts and inheritance tax planning
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working closely with colleagues across other departments
- Contributing to the continued growth of the private client offering
Person Specification
- Applications are sought from qualified Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with experience in private client law.
- The firm will consider a range of experience levels provided you can demonstrate strong technical ability and excellent client care skills.
- Experience handling a private client caseload
- Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and organised approach
- The ability to manage files independently
- A commitment to delivering outstanding client service

- STEP qualifications or a willingness to work towards them would be advantageous but are not essential
