Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Cashier to join a busy Legal Finance Team based in Stockport City Centre. This is a full-time Legal Finance job, working 9-5 Monday to Friday. The law firm’s office is very accessible by public transport and has its own parking. My client has five offices across the North West, offering a full range of legal services from each one. They pride themselves on giving quality advice, acting with integrity and providing value for money. You will be working in a fast-paced, busy and very friendly law firm and have the opportunity to share in its future success.
Role Responsibilities
- Posting client and office account transactions
- Processing bills and client payments
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Processing bank payments (BACS and CHAPS) and transfers between accounts
- Liaising with partners, fee earners and support staff
- Creating legal aid bills
Person Specification
- Experience of working in a finance department as a Legal Cashier or a Finance Assistant
- Previous legal cashiering experience and knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
- A good standard of education and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team
