Eventus Legal are seeking a NQ - 2 PQE Care Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a successful team based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The successful Solicitor will be working alongside a thriving team, with progression opportunities. Benefits include hybrid working, 26 days holiday (rising to 31 with service), group healthcare scheme and a companywide bonus. This position is a permanent, full‑time job.
Role responsibilities
- The incoming Care Solicitor will be part of a team of circa 10 Family law specialists, who all handle their own caseload of varied matters across both care and family law.
- You will be responsible for progressing your own caseload of files entirely focussed on Child Care, dealing with all aspects of care proceedings brought by local authorities on behalf of parents and other family members.
- You will be expected to work towards undertaking your own advocacy, if you do not do so at present.
- There is administration support, however the firm do use a case‑management system and you are expected to be IT savvy.
Person specification
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive ideally newly qualified to 2 PQE (although more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply).
- You will have the ability to manage your own care caseload of care matters (with support), as well as a willingness to undertake advocacy, as you will be attending court on a regular basis.
