Eventus Legal are seeking a Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a successful team based in Sunderland, due to succession planning. The successful candidate will be working with excellent administration support, great benefits including hybrid working, free parking and genuine progression opportunities including to Head of Department. The role is a permanent position.

Role responsibilities

  • Progressing a caseload of dispute resolution work in both the High and County Courts including but not limited to:
    • Contract disputes
    • Contentious probate
    • Landlord and tenant disputes (both commercial and residential)
    • Commercial disputes and partnership disputes
  • Involvement in business development and maintaining relationships with current contacts and referral network.
  • Benefit from excellent secretarial support.

Person specification

  • Applications are sought from Solicitors or Legal Executives who are experienced in Dispute Resolution, ideally those with 6 PQE and above, capable of running their own caseload of a mixed nature and contributing to the development and progression of the department.
  • Experience in commercial and civil dispute resolution is ideal, but those with transferrable skills from another area of litigation (for example complex personal injury) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience of the resolution of disputes at mediation and/or ADR.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with people at all levels, inspiring confidence in both clients and colleagues.
