Family Solicitor in Stockport

The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Family Solicitor (2+ years PQE) for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Stockport and/or Macclesfield. This role sits within a growing Family team and reports directly to the Department Head. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to manage a varied caseload independently while contributing to the continued development and success of the wider team. The role offers full-time hours of 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, along with a competitive salary and benefits package dependent on experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of Family law matters, delivering high-quality legal services while making a strong commercial contribution to the group and maintaining exceptional standards of client care.
• Manage a full caseload of Family law matters with minimal supervision.
• Conduct matters in accordance with Lexcel standards, SRA Code of Conduct and internal risk management procedures.
• Generate fee income and effectively manage time recording, WIP, billing and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
• Supervise and support colleagues’ work when required, including providing cover during holidays and absences.
• Take an active role in business development opportunities on behalf of the team.
• Participate in marketing activities at firm-wide, group or office level.
• Attend clients in person and by telephone, providing a professional, friendly and high-quality client care service.
• Manage correspondence and documentation via the case management system.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper file management, including use of the P4W and Infotrack systems.
• Attend and contribute to group and departmental meetings.
• Develop new work from existing clients and seek new clients for yourself and the wider team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts.

Person Specification

• Applications are welcomed from Family Solicitors who are comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Admission as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Family law.
• Experience handling a broad range of Family matters.
• Proven ability to manage files independently.
• Experience supervising or supporting colleagues (desirable but not essential).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• A proactive, efficient and team-focused approach.
• Confidence using case management systems and modern IT applications.
