Eventus Legal are seeking a Serious Injury Solicitor to join a highly regarded Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence team on a permanent, full-time basis in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Serious Injury Solicitor to work on complex and high-value catastrophic injury matters within a supportive and collaborative environment. Role Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of complex serious injury matters involving high-value and life-changing injuries
  • Providing expert legal advice with a highly client-focused and empathetic approach
  • Conducting litigation, instructing counsel and experts, attending hearings and negotiating settlements
  • Managing client expectations and liaising with relevant third parties and medical professionals
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members to aid their professional development
  • Assisting with networking, marketing initiatives and wider business development activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to deliver a seamless client service
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments within serious injury litigation

Person Specification

The successful Serious Injury Solicitor will have extensive experience handling complex serious injury matters and will be confident managing high-value multi-track litigation independently. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Solicitor or equivalent
  • Significant experience within serious injury and catastrophic injury litigation
  • Strong technical knowledge of multi-track personal injury matters
  • Excellent understanding of the Rehabilitation Code and Serious Injury Guide
  • Commercially minded with strong relationship management and business development skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
