The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Senior Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join a highly reputable Legal 500 law firm in Stockport. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity offering a senior position within a well‑established and growing residential property team. Role Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of residential property matters independently, while also supporting the wider team and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.
  • Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Conducting matters in accordance with Lexcel standards, SRA Code of Conduct and internal risk management procedures.
  • Generating fee income and managing time recording, WIP, billing and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
  • Supervising and supporting colleagues, including cover during absences and holidays.
  • Providing guidance and oversight to junior team members where required.
  • Actively participating in business development, marketing, networking and referral activities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts.
  • Attending clients in person and by telephone, delivering a professional and high‑quality client care experience.
  • Managing correspondence and documentation through the firm’s case management system.
  • Attending and contributing to team and group meetings.
  • Supporting the development of new work from existing clients and attracting new clients to the firm.

Person Specification

  • Applications are welcomed from experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitors who are comfortable working at a senior level and handling matters independently.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience handling residential conveyancing matters.
  • Qualification as a Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload unsupervised.
  • Experience supervising or supporting colleagues (desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive, efficient and collaborative approach.
  • Confidence using case management systems and modern IT tools.
