This role is available on a 100% remote-working basis. This is a permanent job position offering a salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience. The firm is expanding its commercial property capability in response to a strong and developing pipeline of work and can offer significant autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to shape a package around the priorities of the successful Solicitor.

Role Responsibilities

This Commercial Property Solicitor job will involve taking ownership of a varied transactional commercial property caseload and progressing matters with a high degree of independence. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling commercial property sales and acquisitions from instruction through to completion.
  • Advising on a broad range of freehold and leasehold transactions.
  • Reviewing and advising on commercial leases and related property documentation.
  • Managing transactions involving commercial properties ranging from smaller owner-managed business premises through to matters valued at approximately £2 million to £3 million.
  • Supporting the property aspects of wider corporate transactions where required.
  • Providing practical, commercially focused advice to business clients and maintaining a responsive service throughout each matter.
  • Handling property finance matters where experience permits, including bridging finance or lender-related work.
  • Managing files autonomously and identifying when specialist input or escalation is appropriate.

Person Specification

The successful Commercial Property Solicitor will be a qualified solicitor with strong transactional commercial property experience and the confidence to manage a caseload without day-to-day supervision. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Strong experience of commercial property sales and acquisitions.
  • The ability to take ownership of files and progress transactions independently.
  • Sound experience of freehold and leasehold commercial property matters.
  • Strong client communication skills and a practical, commercially minded approach to legal advice.
  • Good organisation and file management skills, with the ability to manage competing transactional deadlines.
  • Experience of property finance, bridging lending or lender work would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience gained within a regional, national or specialist commercial property team will be considered where you can demonstrate the required level of autonomy.

Benefits and Rewards

This is an opportunity to join a growing commercial practice at a stage when its property offering is being developed around significant client demand. The successful Commercial Property Solicitor will also benefit from:

  • Salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience and the level of autonomy you can bring to the position.
  • Remote working, with the firm open-minded about where you are based provided work is delivered effectively and clients receive a high-quality service.
  • A flexible overall package that can be shaped around individual priorities, including the balance between salary, flexibility and other package elements.
  • A high level of professional autonomy and the opportunity to take genuine ownership of commercial property matters.
  • Exposure to a broad range of commercial transactions and developing client relationships across the UK.
  • The opportunity to join a growing team with an expanding pipeline of commercial property and property finance work.
