Eventus Legal is pleased to be partnering with a well established and forward thinking law firm in Otley, West Yorkshire, as they look to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing who is seeking to take the next step in their career. The role offers the chance to build upon an existing caseload within a long standing and respected firm that combines traditional values with a modern, progressive approach.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £45,000, dependent on experience, together with an attractive and comprehensive benefits package. This includes hybrid and flexible working arrangements, a pension contribution scheme, and a realistic and achievable bonus structure. Employees also benefit from 25 days’ annual leave, plus 8 statutory bank holidays, and an additional week long Christmas closure (equating to a further 3–4 days of leave). Dependant leave is available where required, and the firm encourages a positive team culture through regular staff social events.

Role Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end process for equity transfers, including the preparation, review, and verification of all relevant documentation.
  • Ensure all transfers comply with legal and regulatory requirements, providing clients with accurate and timely guidance.
  • Apply a strong working knowledge of both restrictive and positive covenants.
  • Advise clients on the practical and legal implications of these covenants, ensuring compliance while proactively identifying potential risks or opportunities.
  • Handle matters related to easements, rights of way, and other property interests.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalise agreements with precision, ensuring that terms are legally sound and aligned with client objectives.
  • Efficiently manage all post completion activities, including registration, documentation updates, and client communications.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure processes are completed accurately, on time, and in line with best practice standards.

  • Qualified Solicitor with residential property experience (at least 3 years PQE).
