Eventus Legal are seeking a Commercial Litigation Legal Secretary to join a national law firm in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. This is a full-time, permanent job offering a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 andis fullyofficebased. Role Responsibilities
This Commercial Litigation Legal Secretary jobin Nottingham, Nottinghamshirecentreson providing reliablelegalsecretarial support to aPartner handling commercial disputes. The work will involve closedaytodaycontact with the Partner and the widercommercial litigationteam. Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated secretarial support to a Commercial Litigation Partner, handling correspondence and administrative work throughout the life of a matter.
- Typing,amendingand proofreading letters, emails, court documents, witnessstatementsand other litigation papers from the Partner's instructions.
- Preparing,paginatingand checking hearing bundles and supporting the filing and service of documents whenrequired.
- Opening new matters,maintainingaccurateelectronicfilesand ensuring correspondence,evidenceand key documents are saved promptly.
- Managing the Partner's diary, arranging client meetings and calls, and helping tomonitorhearing dates, filing dates and other key deadlines.
- Taking and directing calls, responding to routineenquiriesand liaising with clients, counsel,courtsand other parties asappropriate.
- Assistingwith time recording,invoicesand other matter administration, as directed by the Partner.
- Keeping the Partner and wider team informed of urgent correspondence and shifting priorities.
Person Specification
As an experienced Legal Secretary in Nottingham,Nottinghamshireyou will bring litigation secretarial experience and be comfortable supporting a busy legal practice. You should also be able todemonstratethe following:
- At least two years'previouslegal secretarial experience within litigationgained with a reputable law firm.
- Strongorganisationand attention to detail when handling legal documents and competing requests.
- Strong IT experience and attention to detail.
- Confident liaising with clients andmaintainingexisting relationships.
- A professional, responsive approach to working with a Partner and colleagues in the team.
