Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Financial Adviser for a well-regarded IFA with a base in Manchester and offices across the North of England. This is a permanent, full-time role that is mostly home-based, three to four days from home with the option of office-based working in Manchester or any of the firm's northern offices, paying £42,500 basic (basic plus retention bonus) with a Y1 OTE around £50,000, a £3,600 tax‑free annual bonus, Vitality private healthcare and EV salary sacrifice.

The model is referral‑led and trust‑based: no line management, no daily check‑ins, and the freedom to build your own client book. Top performers earn £150,000 to £200,000 once their client bank matures.

About the Role

As Financial Adviser you will build and run your own client book, supported by an established accountancy referral network and a central research team. This is a relationship‑driven role with genuine autonomy, where your success comes from the referral relationships you build and the advice you give.

  • Building referral relationships with accountants and solicitors
  • Running client meetings across pensions, investments and protection
  • Conducting ongoing client reviews as your book develops
  • Personalising suitability reports drafted by the central research team

About You

This role suits a self‑starter who can build relationships and work without close oversight. The firm welcomes advisers earlier in their career, including those from restricted backgrounds, provided the instincts and motivation are there.

  • Around one year of IFA experience, with restricted backgrounds welcome
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning plus Competent Adviser Status
  • Strong instincts for relationship‑building, as this is a referral‑led model
  • Self‑motivation, as there is no daily oversight and that doesn’t suit everyone

Benefits and Rewards

Alongside £42,500 basic (basic plus retention bonus) and a Y1 OTE of around £50,000, you will enjoy genuine flexibility and the following benefits:

  • £3,600 tax‑free annual bonus after probation, around £5,000 gross equivalent
  • Top earners make £150,000 to £200,000 as their client bank matures
  • 26 days’ effective holiday
  • 5% employer and 3% employee pension contributions
  • Vitality private healthcare
  • EV salary sacrifice
  • Death‑in‑service cover
  • Three to four days from home, or office‑based if preferred

About the Firm

The employer is a well‑regarded independent financial planning firm, with around 40 advisers across multiple offices and close to £1 billion in client assets. What sets it apart is what isn’t there: no line management structure, no daily check‑ins, and no fixed expectation of office attendance, so advisers are trusted to run their own diaries and build their own books. The business is growing fast, adding 40 new accountancy referral partners this year, which gives a steady pipeline of warm introductions to build from. It is a genuinely autonomous, trust‑based environment, with the central research support to match.
