Eventus Legal are seeking a Crime Solicitor to join a nationally recognised and well-established law firm in their Manchester office. This is a permanent, full-time job position, offering a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including serious and complex crime. About the Role
As the incoming Crime Solicitor, you will manage a broad caseload of criminal defence work, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling criminal defence matters from police station attendance through to representation in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts
- Preparing and managing legally aided and privately funded cases, including appeals
- Taking part in the out-of-hours duty solicitor rota
- Building and maintaining your own client following
- Dealing with serious, complex and politically sensitive matters, including protest-related work
- Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure robust case preparation
- Delivering a high standard of client care in line with the firm’s justice-driven values
