Eventus Legal is looking for a New Business Administrator to join our client’s well regarded team based in Leeds city centre, West Yorkshire. Our client is renowned for delivering clear, commercially strategic, and pragmatic legal advice. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, personable and passionate administrator who has first class customer service skills while delivering a high level of administrative support and an excellent telephone manner.
The position offers a salary up to £30,000 (DOE), 24 days holiday, plus a further day at Christmas where the office closes, your birthday off, and the opportunity to purchase five extra days each year at the start of the new holiday year (1st April), hybrid flexibility, group pension scheme up to 5% employer contribution, regular community and team building events, such as office Reiki and massages, and a genuinely supportive and caring environment in modern, open planned and recently refurbished offices.
Role Responsibilities:- Managing initial telephone and email enquiries from new and existing conveyancing clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, providing an excellent client experience and building positive relationships
- Gathering key information from prospective clients to support the conveyancing process and ensure accurate file opening procedures
- Explaining the firm’s conveyancing services, processes, and next steps clearly and confidently to clients
- Allocating enquiries and appointments to the appropriate fee earners and conveyancing team members
- Opening new client files and ensuring all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and in line with compliance requirements
- Carrying out administrative checks including ID verification and obtaining relevant client documentation
- Maintaining accurate records of client interactions and updating internal case management systems promptly
- Supporting the conveyancing team with general administrative duties including document preparation, complex diary management, and correspondence
- Previous experience in an administrative, customer service, or reception based role
- Experience handling inbound telephone calls and dealing with clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Strong customer service experience with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
- Previous experience within a legal, property, estate agency, mortgage, or conveyancing environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong and up to date IT skills including MS Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information
- Confident working as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required and unsupervised
- Knowledge or understanding of the conveyancing process would be beneficial but not essential
- Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE)
