Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join a forward‑thinking and tech‑savvy law firm in Darlington, County Durham. This is a permanent, full‑time position offering hybrid working (circa 2 days per week remote), flexible hours and a collaborative, low‑volume caseload environment. You will be supported by experienced admin staff and enjoy a genuinely people‑focused workplace. Role Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of residential transactions including sales, purchases, leasehold, buy‑to‑let, right to buy, new build, re‑mortgages and transfers of equity
- Draft and review legal documentation in line with industry and regulatory standards
- Liaise effectively with clients, lenders, estate agents and other solicitors
- Ensure proactive and timely progression of files towards completion
- Maintain high standards of file management and regulatory compliance
- Participate in ongoing training, team meetings and support wider business development
Person Specification
- We welcome applications from qualified Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers or Chartered Legal Executives with experience in residential conveyancing, or highly experienced individuals who are not formally qualified.
- The incoming Conveyancer will be client‑focused and proactive.
- Proven experience of managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post‑completion
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working with IT systems and case management software
- A solutions‑driven, collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance to Darlington, County Durham (as some office attendance is required weekly)
