Eventus Legal are seeking a Paralegal / Assistant with experience in Residential Conveyancing to join a successful, expanding team based in Harrogate. This is a full‑time, permanent role with excellent progression prospects. Benefits include 24 days holidays that rise with service, bank holidays as additional, Christmas closure and pension.
Role Responsibilities
- As the newly appointed Conveyancing Assistant, you will deal with a range of matters including sales, purchases, re‑mortgages, transfers of equity, both freehold and leasehold.
- Assisting the Fee Earner on files
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and estate agents on the telephone, email and in person
- Dealing with routine correspondence
- Preparing transfer documents and requisitions on title
- Obtaining and checking redemption figures
- Helping to prepare files for exchange and completion
- Search reports
Person Specification
The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will have experience in a similar conveyancing role, either as an Assistant / Paralegal or a Legal Secretary involved in the caseload. You will also have the following experience and skills:
- Proven conveyancing experience (ideally 2 years)
- The ability to deal with enquiries swiftly
- Excellent client communications skills
- Strong organisational skills
