Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant for a law firm based in Team Valley. This is a permanent position and can be offered on a full or part-time basis. Other benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking, and company-wide profit share.
Role Responsibilities
- The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will be working one-on-one with an experienced Residential Conveyancer assisting with their caseload of residential conveyancing matters including both freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, newbuild, transfer of equity and all other associated matters.
- The caseload will be manageable and capped at 55 files to ensure continuity of client service and a positive working environment.
- Specific duties will include:
- Support Conveyancers in day-to-day work.
- Provide secretarial support when required.
- Support junior colleagues as they learn and develop.
- Answer and make phone calls to and from clients, other solicitors, estate agents etc.
- Organise and maintain case files.
Person Specification
- Applications are sought from experienced Conveyancing Assistants or Legal Secretaries, ideally those who have at least 2 years experience in a similar role.
- You must have experience in a Residential Conveyancing role and you will be experienced and comfortable in handling telephone calls from Clients, Estate Agents, Other side etc., as well as:
- Able to maintain a high level of presentation and accuracy.
- Able to keep track of key dates.
- Able to liaise directly with clients and other professionals, making appointments and managing diaries.
- Enthusiastic and hardworking.
- Have a keen eye for detail, be organised and keen to learn and develop.
