Eventus Recruitment Cheshire are seeking a Finance Assistant for a client based in Cheadle. This is a full time, permanent job, in which you will strive to deliver first class outsourced finance support to local businesses across Greater Manchester. As the company’s Finance Assistant, you will join a friendly and supportive team and benefit from hybrid working once the initial training period has been completed. In addition, you will benefit from 32 days holiday and flexible working hours.

Role Responsibilities

  • The incoming Finance Assistant will be responsible for the full outsourced financial services for the client facing team.
  • General bookkeeping tasks (bank reconciliations, purchases / sales invoicing etc.) for multiple clients.
  • Prepare payment runs for client approval.
  • Prepare VAT returns and carry out internal checks for review by manager.
  • Assist with preparing management reporting, including posting salary, prepayment and accrual journals.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing support in person, via telephone, email and e-meetings.
  • Manage client’s accounts in-boxes, answering queries when necessary.

Person Specification

  • The successful Finance Assistant will ideally have AAT or ICB qualifications and have experience using Xero accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Have the motivation to learn new things.
  • Love to be busy and can work at a fast pace.
  • Be well prepared and have planning/organisation skills that comes naturally.
  • Warm, friendly and positive nature and like to meet new people.
