Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a multi‑office firm in their Cramlington, Northumberland office. This is a permanent job position, offered either full‑time or on a reduced working week. The firm offers a generous salary (depending on experience), along with a holiday allowance of 28 days plus bank holidays, free parking, hybrid working, health package and death in service.

Role responsibilities

  • Assisting other fee‑earners with their duties, as well as progressing to running your own files
  • Ordering property searches and carrying out necessary client ID checks
  • Land registry management – registration of completed properties and ongoing follow up
  • Preparation of client bills and reading account ledgers
  • Preparing and overseeing exchanges and completions
  • Preparation, organisation and archiving of legal files and supporting documentation
  • Digital dictation and diary management
  • Handling client and third‑party telephone calls, enquiries and requests

Person specification

  • Ability and ambition for progression to running your own caseload
  • A strong desire to offer outstanding service
  • Self‑supporting in on‑admin matters
  • Ambition to develop and progress
  • Accurate typing and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Case Management Software (Redbrick) is essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to contribute to the friendly working atmosphere
