Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established law firm in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. This is a full-time, permanent job, offering an excellent opportunity to join a respected conveyancing team. Responsibilities
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and third parties on behalf of the conveyancing team
- Supporting the progression of conveyancing matters under supervision and within agreed parameters
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts
- Providing professional assistance to clients both in person and over the telephone
- Supporting the wider department and assisting colleagues when required
- Assisting with the induction and training of new team members where appropriate
- Managing appointments, meetings and diary commitments for fee earners
- Preparing correspondence and legal documentation using case management systems
- Opening new files and completing file closure procedures
- Handling telephone enquiries, taking accurate messages and following up where required
- Maintaining organised filing systems and ensuring records remain up to date
- Undertaking document production, copying and general administrative tasks
- Ensuring confidential information is handled securely and in accordance with firm procedures
- Completing additional duties and training activities as required
About You
To be successful in this Conveyancing Assistant job, you will already have experience within a legal support environment and be confident managing a varied workload. You will be comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative member of the wider team. Strong client care skills and a proactive approach are essential for this opportunity.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience working within a legal support, legal secretary, legal assistant or conveyancing assistant position
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and use initiative when managing responsibilities
- Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail with strong spelling and grammar skills
- Professional and effective communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
