Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a thriving Residential Conveyancing team based in Darlington, County Durham. This is a full-time, permanent job offering a competitive salary of £26,000–£30,000 (depending on experience), alongside a generous bonus and benefits package. Role Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with day-to-day residential conveyancing transactions
- Handling general client and third-party queries efficiently and professionally
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents and referrers via telephone and email
- Assisting with property completions and post-completion matters
- Conducting searches and preparing documentation for residential transactions
- Typing correspondence, legal documents and letters accurately
- Carrying out general administrative and secretarial duties within the conveyancing team
- Managing workloads effectively and prioritising tasks within a busy Conveyancing Assistant job
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Secretary or Property Assistant is desirable
- Strong communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
- Excellent client care and customer service skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Experience using a case management system such as SOS is advantageous but not essential
