Eventus Legal is seeking a Conveyancer to join a well-established law firm’s Residential Property team based in Twickenham. This is a permanent, full-time role with a reputable firm who are renowned for their wealth of experience and excellent level of service. Along with a competitive salary, you will also benefit from 28 days of annual leave plus Christmas office closure, a monthly bonus scheme, and opportunities for progression.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide sound legal advice and assistance to clients, independently managing a busy caseload and ensuring files are managed efficiently.
  • Handle files for freehold and leasehold properties from initial instructions through to completion.
  • Ensure that all enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
  • Ensure that all searches are carried out and mortgage conditions are satisfied.
  • Prepare contracts and supporting documents.
  • Ensure that post-completion is concluded accurately, handling client billing and liaising with clients and third parties as necessary.

Person Specifications

  • At least one year of fee earning experience within Residential Property, preferably within a reputable law firm or legal department.
  • Sound knowledge of the conveyancing process.
  • Experience of handling transfers of equity, remortgages, bridging, new builds, shared ownership leases and declarations of trust.
  • Experience of dealing with leasehold properties, corporate clients and buy-to-let and portfolio owners.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent commercial and financial awareness.
