Eventus Recruitment is seeking a permanent, full time Private Client Solicitor with 3+ years PQE for an established and highly regarded law firm in Chichester, West Sussex. This opportunity offers a salary of £50-60k depending on experience, flexible working including hybrid, pension contributions, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays with additional day for your birthday and extended Christmas shutdown, private healthcare, study support, varied private client caseload, and excellent work life balance.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing probate and estate administration, including both simple estates and complex taxable estates requiring IHT400s and associated schedules.
- Handling intestate estates in accordance with statutory rules and procedures.
- Advising on lifetime settlements and trusts, including tax principles affecting trusts during their lifetime and in wills.
- Providing clear, empathetic guidance to a varied client base, including older clients and high net worth individuals.
- Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries, and third parties to ensure efficient progression of matters.
Person Specification
- At least 3+ years PQE in private client, trusts and probate, or closely related areas.
- A proactive and solutions oriented approach with strong technical knowledge.
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- STEP membership or willingness to work towards relevant qualifications is advantageous.
