Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join a Legal 500-recognised and expanding law firm based in Chester, Cheshire. This is a full‑time, permanent job offering a competitive salary of £43,000 – £55,000 depending on experience and presents an exciting opportunity for a talented solicitor with at least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience to join a high‑performing team. Role Responsibilities

  • Advising on company formations, corporate restructures, M&A transactions and shareholder agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including terms and conditions, service agreements, NDAs and more.
  • Supporting corporate transactions from initial instruction to post‑completion.
  • Assisting clients with commercial legal risk and compliance matters.
  • Leading or assisting in due diligence and disclosure processes.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments within the firm to deliver a seamless service.
  • Taking an active role in business development, including attending networking events, contributing to marketing campaigns, and developing client relationships.

Person Specification

  • Applications are sought from experienced Solicitors with at least 2 years’ PQE (not NQ) in Corporate or Commercial Law.
  • This Corporate & Commercial Solicitor job will suit someone who enjoys client interaction, has commercial awareness and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Between 2–5 years PQE in either corporate, commercial or a mix of both.
  • Confidence working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to work across both corporate and commercial disciplines.
  • Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive, client‑focused approach.
  • Enthusiasm for marketing, business development and building long‑term client relationships.
