Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a well‑established and recognised law firm in Chester, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a busy Conveyancing Department within a respected North West law firm. Based in the Chester office, this full‑time, permanent role offers a varied working day supporting fee earners within a busy conveyancing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Providing a friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to clients
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professionals by telephone and in person
- Assisting clients with procedural enquiries
- Setting up payments through the firm's online banking system
- Managing post, emails and telephone messages on behalf of fee earners
- Maintaining fee earner diaries and appointments
- Opening new files and completing standard file opening documentation
- Updating and maintaining the firm's online case management system
- Supporting fee earners with day‑to‑day conveyancing administration
- Ensuring documentation is processed accurately and efficiently
Person Specification
To be successful in this role you will have previous conveyancing experience together with excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills. You will ideally have:
- Previous conveyancing experience
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using computerised systems
- The ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- A considerate, professional and client‑focused approach
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English, Maths and other core subjects
