Eventus Legal is looking for a skilled and credible Family Solicitor to join a well established and highly respected legal firm in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Our client is a niche solicitors practice with two offices in West Yorkshire who provide expert legal advice to families and individuals. They successfully cover a range of family services including child abduction, cohabitation/prenups, divorce and financial settlements, domestic violence, children’s issues, forced marriages and social services.

This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000, 24 days holiday, pension, hybrid working and you will receive a generous target based bonus scheme plus a paid healthcare cash plan.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage your own caseload, building strong client relationships
  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of family law, including both private and legally aided cases (60% of your caseload)
  • Work on a wide variety of private law family matters, keeping your practice diverse and challenging

Person Specification

  • The successful Family Solicitor will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ PQE upwards of family law casework.
  • You will be organised and approach tasks with common sense, dealing with challenging situations in a calm but effective manner.
  • We expect you to collaborate with colleagues to build relationships and case work and be a detail oriented team player who takes pride in producing high quality work.
  • Experience in family law practice, with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
  • Exposure to court proceedings and client advocacy
  • Experience of drafting legal documents like divorce petitions, care plans, and financial settlements
  • Advising clients on complex issues, including financial matters and children’s welfare
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation or collaborative law
  • Have high levels of patience and resilience
  • Able to always maintain confidentiality
  • Experience balancing multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
