Eventus Legal are seeking an Employment Solicitor to join a progressive and growing law firm on a permanent, full-time basis in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to play a key role in developing and expanding the firm’s employment law offering while managing a varied and interesting caseload. Role Responsibilities
- Managing a broad employment caseload while supporting the continued growth and development of the department.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and working closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver a high standard of client service.
- Handling a broad range of employment law matters including both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues across a variety of sectors.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through commercially focused legal advice.
- Collaborating with colleagues across different departments to deliver a seamless client service.
- Assisting with employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions where required.
- Monitoring departmental workflows, caseload allocation and resourcing requirements to maintain service standards.
- Using financial and case management systems to oversee performance, budgeting and billing forecasts.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Person Specification
The successful Employment Solicitor will have previous experience handling a broad range of employment law matters and will be confident managing their own caseload independently. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Qualified Solicitor or equivalent.
- Ideally 5 years plus PQE within employment law.
- Strong technical knowledge across contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Commercially minded with strong business development skills.
