Responsibilities include managing a mixed caseload of public and private family law matters from start to finish. Preparing legal documentation, representing clients in court, and providing advice and support on a variety of family law issues. Working independently with minimal supervision, especially during court attendance of senior partners. Contributing to team leadership and operations support, particularly in preparation for a senior partner's planned retirement. Supporting and collaborating with a small, friendly and long-established team.
Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor or highly experienced Legal Executive with substantial family law experience. Applications welcome from Newly Qualified Solicitors up to senior level. Must be personable, friendly and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a tight-knit team. A strong communicator, confident in handling client matters and providing court representation. Experience in either private or public family law, with willingness to be trained in the other if needed. A great personality fit is key – a team player essential.
Benefits: Permanent full-time or part-time role with early Friday finishes at 4:00 PM. Office-based with flexibility for occasional remote working following court appearances. Competitive salary starting from £33,000 for Newly Qualified Solicitors, with no upper cap for more senior applicants. 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, with additional time off over Christmas (typically 2 extra days). Firm-wide Christmas to New Year closure. Bonus scheme in place. Supportive team and leadership environment with low staff turnover.
