An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Lowry Hotel - Manchester’s Iconic five-star hotel for an Events Executive. Working within the Conference & Events Sales department, the Inspired Events Executive will collate, co-ordinate and distribute Conference & Event information between clients and hotel departments, whilst ensuring the highest standard of service achieved.
Your duties will entail maintaining a good working relationship with existing clients and ensuring that final details are confirmed and that contracts are sent in an orderly fashion. You are also responsible for ensuring all enquiries are followed up and converting tentative reservations into confirmed bookings.
The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of the requirements within Conference and Banqueting including facilities, set-ups and services available. Previous experience would be advantageous although specific training will be given in this area, including menus and wine lists to enable you to provide a five star service to all guests as well as up selling the hotel services.
You must be able to meet deadlines, have good computer skills and an excellent telephone manner including the ability to provide seamless service delivery with a nothing is too much trouble attitude. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi-task are essential and previous experience of using Opera is desirable.
The hours of work are predominantly during the week, office hours however flexibility is required to attend functions as and when required, which may include weekends. The Lowry Hotel’s service Brand Pillars of ‘Iconic’, ‘Individual’ and ‘Intuitive’ service delivery are key attributes to all candidates for this role.
