YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Maintain bank accounts:
    • Monthly bank reconciliations
    • Daily input of receipts & payments to Sage
  • Purchase ledger processing:
    • Maintain purchase ledger invoice log
    • Ensure purchase invoices input on Sage accounts in a timely manner
    • Ensure purchase ledgers are checked regularly
    • Preparation of ad hoc and weekly bank payment runs ready for authorisation
  • Sales ledger processing & credit control:
    • Ensure sales invoices and customer receipts are input in timely manner on Sage accounts
    • Sales ledgers are checked regularly
    • Send customer statements at least once a month - frequency can depend on the event calendar
    • Chase customers for payment when required by phone and email as appropriate, raising any credit control issues with the Financial Manager/Senior Sales Manager
  • Ad hoc tasks:
    • Assist Financial Manager with monthly management accounts as required
    • Assist with ad hoc support to Events International’s sister company, Gullivers Sports Travel, if required

YOU’LL HAVE

  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience with Sage Accounting software
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong communication skills via telephone and email
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
