We work with an ever-growing and impressive range of clients — from well-known TV shows and visitor attractions to corporate events, weddings and private parties. Each year, we deliver props and theming to over 2,000 events and bespoke projects, operating year-round with distinct seasonal demands. This is a hands‑on, practical role for someone who understands how things are actually made and how easily projects can unravel without strong organisation and ownership. As Build Manager, you’ll be responsible for running multiple builds at once, from rental stock development to bespoke event projects. You’ll take ownership from early brief through to production delivery, making sure builds are practical, cost‑aware and delivered on time.
We’re looking for someone with prop making & build management experience who wants to work on bespoke, unique and innovative product builds.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Owning multiple builds at once and keeping them on track
- Turning unclear or evolving briefs into clear, workable build plans
- Making sound decisions around material use, build methods and build approach
- Coordinating with design and production teams so builds are robust, practical and deliverable
- Managing budgets, costs and build efficiency
- Making sure what’s built works in transport, storage and live event use
- Communicating clearly and following agreed processes and approvals
You’ll be trusted to take responsibility, but you won’t work in isolation. This role succeeds through collaboration and clear communication.
About YouHighly organised and comfortable juggling multiple builds without losing control. Experienced in prop making, scenic build or a physical fabrication environment. Have a practical working knowledge about materials, construction methods and time. Someone who takes ownership and sees projects through properly. Calm under pressure and solutions‑focused when plans change. Comfortable working within processes, budgets and approvals. Clear and collaborative in how you communicate with others.
